Creating Snowflakes and Healing

Here’s a neat story about how making paper snowflakes (now hanging at Monfort Children’s Clinic) helped comfort residents after the Sandy Hook shooting.

“The Connecticut Parent Teacher’s Association requested snowflakes to make a winter wonderland for the students’ new school. Chiaramonte could do that. She was crafty. She found an instructional video on making paper snowflakes on YouTube. You may remember folding a triangle and cutting a few smaller triangles in elementary school. These were more elaborate.”
