Hispanic Heritage Month recognizes and celebrates the significant contributions of Americans tracing their ancestry to Spain, Mexico, Central and South America and the Spanish speaking nations of the Caribbean. The observance of Hispanic Heritage Month began in 1968 through an act of Congress.

Resident of Hispanic and Latino descent have and will continue to contribute greatly to the city of Greeley, enriching our communities and advancing our businesses and economy!

Watch an inspiring screening of this documentary about César Chávez, a pivotal figure in the labor movement and a champion for farmworkers' rights.

"Hailing Cesar" explores Chávez's groundbreaking efforts, his commitment to justice, and his enduring legacy in advocating for workers' rights and social change.

Eduardo Chavez is the grandson of civil rights activist César Chávez and the director of the film.  The screening will be followed by a Q&A and discussion with Eduardo.


Sugar Skull! A Día de Muertos Musical Adventure

This bilingual/bicultural musical for young audiences and families uses traditional music and dance from Mexico to tell the story of twelve-year-old Vita Flores.

Vita thinks her family has gone loco planning a celebration for deceased loved ones. Why throw a party for the dead? But when a spirited candy skeleton suddenly springs to life, Vita finds herself on a magical, musical journey to unravel the true meaning of Día de Muertos.
