Endowment, Legacy & Lifetime Giving
After a decade of work, and with the generous help of the Weld Community Foundation, the Greeley Creative District has established an endowment fund to secure the perpetual work of the organization. As the fund grows with contributions from the community, it will become a sustaining income source empowering our work.

Your bank, insurance carrier, or similar institution can provide you with a Beneficiary Designation form or online process to leave a gift to the Greeley Creative District Fund using the following information:

You can also reduce your taxes with a direct transfer of required draws from your IRA directly to this fund.
*All gifts are governed by related agreements.

Sample language by using a percentage:
“I give, devise and bequeath to the Weld Community Foundation or its successor organization (EIN 84-1315296) ____ % of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal property of whatever kind and wheresoever situated designated for the Greeley Creative District Fund at the Foundation and governed by all related agreements.”
Sample language naming a fixed amount:
“I give, devise and bequeath to the Weld Community Foundation or its successor organization (EIN 84-1315296), the sum of $ ____ (or describe the specific stock or security you intend to leave to the GCD) of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal property of whatever kind and wheresoever situated designated for the Greeley Creative District Fund at the Foundation and governed by all related agreements.”
Sample language in survivorship:
If my spouse/partners survive me, I leave my entire estate to my spouse. If my spouse does not survive me, I give, devise and bequeath to the Weld Community Foundation or its successor organization (EIN 84-1315296) ____ % of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, both real and personal property designated for the Greeley Creative District Fund at the Foundation and governed by all related agreements.”

The Impact of your gift
The Greeley Creative District is a 501c3 Charitable organization through the IRS as well as a Colorado Charity, so your donation may be tax deductable (consult with your tax advisor). In addition as of October 2023, the Greeley Creative District is a qualified Enterprise Zone project! This means that your donation to the District of $100 and up to $400,000 may qualify for a 25% Colorado Income Tax credit.
EXAMPLE
The impact on income tax costs given the scenario of a contributor in the 33 percent federal tax bracket who gives a gift of $1,000:
Initial Donation Amount $1,000
Federal Income Tax Deduction -$330
Colorado Income Tax Deduction -$46
Colorado State Tax Credit -$250
After tax impact of donation $374
If you cannot use all of your credits in a given tax year, you can carry forward the balance up to five years.
