A New Endowment to Empower Our Future
The Greeley Creative District Board accepted a matching “Challenge Grant” in August of 2024 to establish an Endowment Fund at the Weld Community Foundation.
The Greeley Creative District is excited to announce it has established an Endowment Fund at the Weld Community Foundation AND has been awarded a matching "Challenge Grant" of $10,000 by the Foundation!
This means there is a permanently endowed Greeley Creative District Agency Fund at the Foundation that will strengthen the resources of the Greeley Creative District and its work in the future. An endowment fund works much like a retirement account. Once established with a solid base to build from, the interest earned on that investment will grow over time, especially as new donations are made to the account.
The Greeley Creative District plans to steadily add to this account with the help of generous donors and investors so that eventually, as the account becomes more substantial, interest from the account will provide a steady income source that will sustain the work of the organization.
This important step will empower the Greeley Creative District to pursue long term goals and growth with greater financial stability and a secure income stream—ensuring we can continue to highlight, promote, grow and support our local creative community for years to come!
