NOW HIRING: K-8 Arts DAY Camp Teachers
The Greeley Creative District is seeking passionate, certified teachers to lead engaging, multidisciplinary summer arts camps at the Greeley Creative Arts Center. This is a unique opportunity for educators who enjoy creative freedom and working with youth across a range of artistic disciplines.
Teachers will lead daily sessions over two four-week camps, introducing students to a variety of art forms, which may include visual, performing, and literary arts. Teachers will design and implement their own curriculum, creating a dynamic and inspiring creative experience for students.
Lead Summer Arts Camp Teacher (Seasonal Contract)
Position Type: Temporary / Summer Seasonal Contract
Location: Greeley Creative Arts Center, 702 13th Street, Greeley, Colorado
Compensation: $40/hour
Note: The District is open to working with one lead teacher who will oversee all camps, or breaking the camps into as many as four contracts. In your application cover letter, please note which sessions and age groups you are interested in teaching.
Schedule
Camp Duration: 4 weeks per session
Session One: June 8-July 3
Session Two: July 6-31
Daily Schedule: Monday-Friday
Grades K-3 Block: 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Teacher Break / Prep Time: 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Grades 4-8 Block: 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Additional: 1 paid week prior to camp for curriculum planning
Class Size & Support
Up to 15 students per session
Supported by two assistant teachers
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver a comprehensive, age-appropriate arts curriculum
Teach a variety of artistic disciplines (specifics to be determined together)
Foster a positive, inclusive, and creative classroom environment
Collaborate with assistant teachers to support student engagement and classroom management
Prepare materials and maintain an organized learning space
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
Experience teaching elementary and/or middle school students
Strong interest or background in the arts (multidisciplinary preferred)
Ability to design engaging, hands-on curriculum
Must live in or teach in Greeley, Colorado
Preferred Qualities
Creative, flexible, and self-directed
Strong classroom management skills
Enthusiasm for arts education and community engagement
