Request for Proposal (RFP): Brand Identity & Website Redesign

1. Overview

The Greeley Creative District (GCD) in Greeley, Colorado, is seeking qualified designers, agencies, or creative firms to support a redesign of its brand identity and an updated website.

The GCD is open to proposals from teams interested in:

  • Brand development and website redesign and development

  • Brand development only

  • Website redesign and development only

Preference will be given to:

  • Firms based in Northern Colorado or the Front Range

  • Teams with experience working with creative organizations, arts nonprofits, or cultural districts

The goal of this project is to develop a cohesive, accessible, and contemporary digital presence that reflects the creative energy of our district and its headquarters, the Greeley Creative Arts Center.

2. About the Greeley Creative District

The Greeley Creative District is both a state-certified cultural district and a nonprofit organization. The GCD is focused on supporting and celebrating arts, culture, and creative businesses in our community. Our work includes:

  • Supporting local artists and makers

  • Promoting creative businesses

  • Hosting public art and cultural programming at the Greeley Creative Arts Center

  • Connecting residents and visitors to arts experiences across the city

  • Strengthening the identity of our neighborhood as a creative hub

3. Project Goals

We are seeking a partner who can help us:

  • Clarify and strengthen our brand identity

  • Create a visually engaging and accessible website

  • Improve navigation and usability for multiple audiences

  • Make it easier to promote events, artists, and programs

  • Develop tools that staff can easily maintain internally

Key audiences include:

  • Local residents

  • Artists and creatives

  • Donors and supporters

  • Visitors and tourists

  • Businesses and community partners

4. Scope of Work

Proposers may respond to one or both project components.

A. Brand Identity Development and Creative Assets

Deliverables must include:

  • Brand discovery process that includes staff, board, member and community input

  • Updated brand positioning and messaging

  • Logo redesign, with multiple file types, color/black and white configurations and orientations (stacked, landscape, lockup) to support a variety of uses

  • Comprehensive color palette and typography guidelines

  • Brand guidelines

  • Plug-and-play templates for social media, presentations, marketing, and print materials

The goal is a flexible identity that reflects:

  • Creativity and vibrancy

  • Community and collaboration

  • Accessibility and inclusion

B. Website Redesign & Development

Deliverables must include:

  • A fully functional website that provides:

    • Streamlined navigation optimized for UX on both desktop and mobile formats

    • Comprehensive, brand-aligned copy about the organization, the team, and the mission/vision, the GCAC, classes, programs and events

    • Payment portals

    • Online registrations

    • Forms and applications

  • Website architecture and user experience design

  • Updated visual design aligned with brand

  • Responsive, mobile-friendly design

  • Robust and intuitive event promotion functionality

  • Easy-to-navigate artist or business directories

  • Integrated CMS

  • SEO best practices

  • Latest state and federal WCAG accessibility standards

  • Analytics integration

We welcome recommendations on platforms or CMS.

5. Qualifications

We are seeking partners with experience in:

  • Brand strategy and visual identity

  • Website design and development

  • UX/UI best practices

  • Collaborative design processes

  • Nonprofit or cultural sector work

Additional consideration will be given to firms with:

  • Experience working with creative districts and/or arts organizations

  • Strong stakeholder engagement processes

  • Ability to work with small nonprofit teams

6. Submission Requirements

2. Relevant Experience

  • 3-5 relevant projects

  • Links to live websites (if applicable)

3. Approach

  • Brief description of your process

  • How you approach nonprofit or community-centered design

4. Project Interest

Indicate whether you are submitting for:

  • Brand identity

  • Website design/development

  • Both

5. Estimated Budget Range

  • High-level estimate or typical project ranges.

6. References

  • 2-3 client references preferred.

7. Timeline (Estimated)

  • RFP Released: Monday, April 6

  • Questions Due: Friday, April 17

  • Submission Deadline: Friday, April 24

  • Finalist Interviews (if needed): Monday, May 4

  • Project Start: Monday, May 18

  • Target Completion: Monday, August 31, 2026

8. Budget

  • $10,000-$15,000

  • We encourage submissions from firms able to work with nonprofit organizations and flexible project scopes.

9. Selection Criteria

Submissions will be evaluated based on:

  • Relevant experience

  • Strength of past work

  • Understanding of project goals

  • Alignment with nonprofit and arts sector work

  • Local or regional presence

  • Overall fit with the organization
