Call for Visual Artists Shadow in the Arts with Thompson School District
Propoals Due: January 27, 2026
The Thompson School District is seeking three visual artists to lead workshops for Shadows in the Arts (SITA).
SITA is a single-day visual arts experience for gifted students offered on two separate dates:
March 31 for high school students
April 2 for middle school students
Artists will design and facilitate a 90-minute, hands-on visual art workshop, repeated in three daily rotations with breaks between sessions. Selected artists will be contracted for both program days.
Workshops should introduce students to new artistic processes, materials, or conceptual approaches, emphasize exploration and reflection, and include opportunities for artist–student dialogue and Q&A about professional art practice.
Dates: March 31 & April 1, 2026 (Artists must commit to both dates.)
Location: The Beet Education Center (201 E 5th St, Loveland, CO)

Workshops, Themes & Mediums
Workshop themes and mediums are open and artist-driven. Final selections will prioritize a variety of media and approaches across the program. Proposals may not be selected if they closely replicate the medium or focus of recent Shadows in the Arts workshops.
Compensation & Materials
Artist Stipend: $400 per day
W9 and TSD Service Agreement required
Materials Allowance: $500 per day
All materials will be purchased through the Thompson School District in collaboration with the selected artists.
