Seeking Design Proposals for City's Sustainable Chico Bag

The Greeley Creative District is proud to partner with the City of Greeley to design and print reusable Chico Bags for distribution to community members in support of the city's sustainability initiatives.
To enhance community engagement through artistic collaboration, we are seeking a Greeley-based artist to design artwork that highlights the unique features of the community.
Design Requirements:
The artwork must be original.
Diverse themes are welcome, and should be representative of the city's character and identity in some way.
A single color design is preferred.
The bags must include some placement of the City of Greeley logo and the Greeley Creative District logo.
Vector files are preferred, but high resolution (600—300 dpi at full scale) image files will also be accepted.
Compensation: $2000
The City of Greeley will own the rights to the design and receive all working art files to reprint and reorder as needed.
Proposal Requirements:
Artist Statement (200 — 500 words) introducing the artist and their work
A Design Proposal (200 — 500 words) describing the concept, the subject and the medium the artist would like to propose for the project
A Design Mock-Up illustrating the artist’s proposed design
3 examples of the artist’s existing work to demonstrate the artist’s style and what a finished piece might look like
Link(s) to the artist’s online presence, if available (such as their website, digital portfolio or social media account)

Selection Process:
Proposals Due: Tuesday, December 16 at 11:59 PM
12/16 — 12/22 The committee will review the proposals and select an artist.
12/23 — 1/7 The selected artist will be notified and will complete the final design.
1/7 — 1/14 The committee may request adjustments to the design.
1/14 — 1/21 The artist will make the requested adjustments and finalize the design.
1/21 — 1/28 The Chico Bags will be produced.
2/4 The bags will be distributed by the City of Greeley and the Greeley Creative District at selected locations and events.
