Art Display Descriptions:
Carbon Valley Regional Library - There are two locking cases in addition to art rail in the following areas: Café area: 5-10 frames (with wire), Children’s area: 15-20 frames (with wire), Adult area: 15-20 frames (with wire), Teen area: does not have art rail but 3M sticky tabs are available for student art. If artists do not have wire attached to their pieces, the library will supply 1 box (480 tabs) of sticky tabs to adhere artwork. Artists will need to purchase more if needed. Most art is displayed from the 1st to the 29th. Any exceptions need to be discussed with library staff. Because the library features displays in multiple areas, we request that art be displayed in age-appropriate areas (e.g. adult art in adult areas).
Centennial Park Library - Main art wall above the ramp up to the children’s area (west wall), 16' long, height ranging from 3.5' to 4.5'. This accommodates approximately 10 medium-sized canvases. Centennial Park Library has hardware for hanging, but the artist will need to have picture wire on the backs of their pieces if framed. Canvases can be hung without any additional wire or hooks on them.
Erie Community Library - Locking glass display case with three glass shelves, each approximately 30" long and 12" deep, as well as a solid base with similar dimensions.
Farr Regional Library - Large wall with art rail for hanging approximately 10 medium-sized pieces. Pieces do not require picture wire to hang. Artist will have to get on a tall ladder to hang pieces, and this task must be done by the artist or someone provided by the artist, not by library staff. A ladder will be provided. It's strongly recommended that the artist bring someone to help.
LINC Library Innovation Center - Main art gallery has approximately 84’ of art rail, divided into various lengths. Main wall is about 64’ (total) with additional spaces located between monitors on opposite wall. Additional art rails (total 16’) are located next to west entrance. Two locking display cases with non-adjustable shelves are located between sections on main wall. Framed items will need wire hanger; weight limit 50 lbs.
Riverside Library and Cultural Center - 15 spots to hang items, all 3' wide, scattered throughout the building. Two spots are large walls for display of large pieces. Multiple pieces can be hung on one wall, and pieces will need a wire backing. Additionally, there is a locking display case.
