A Growing Vision

The past few years have brought significant changes for our nonprofit organization.
In 2024, we received a generous donation to help establish an art center.
In 2025, our first full-time executive director, Becca Vaclavik, was hired to support Phase I of renovations for the Greeley Creative Arts Center (GCAC).
In 2026, the GCAC opened its doors, welcoming members and the public. Since January 2026, the GCD has:
Hosted exhibitions featuring members, youth, marginalized populations, local artists, and local nonprofits.
Offered affordable summer arts camps with support from the Weld Trust.
Empowered local artists to teach classes while providing competitive compensation.
Supported aspiring professionals through Emerging Artist Residencies.
We have transitioned from hosting a handful of annual events to managing an art center, developing ongoing programs and supporting a member community. This growth has prompted us to consider how our visual identity and messaging reflect our evolving mission and vision for the impact that we would like to have in Greeley.
“After more than a decade of serving Greeley’s creative community, we’ve evolved significantly — not only in what we do, but in how we envision our role in the community’s future. The opening of the Greeley Creative Arts Center marks a transformational new chapter for us, and our new brand gives us a way to bring that story together.
As we look toward the next decade and beyond, this new identity reflects our renewed vision and commitment to creating even greater opportunities for artistic excellence in Greeley.”
What Has Stayed the Same
We remain deeply invested in celebrating art and culture in Greeley. We hope the GCAC can be both a beacon and a springboard—welcoming people into the arts center while encouraging visitors to explore the creative businesses, studios, public art, and events throughout the community that contribute to Greeley’s vibrant cultural landscape.
We will continue to collaborate closely with local partners, including the City of Greeley and Downtown Greeley, to create opportunities for artists and to highlight their work.
Clarifying Our Message
This rebranding process provides an opportunity for us to more clearly communicate our unique contribution within these partnerships and help the community understand the role we play.
“We love being closely associated with our partners, but we also want to be recognized for who we are: a small but mighty nonprofit,” Dana Buckingham, Marketing Manager, Greeley Creative District explains. “We are primarily supported by devoted volunteers and donors who believe in our mission, and as we grow, we know we will need to welcome new allies and supporters into the fold.”
Likewise, we also want our messaging to resonate more clearly with the artists and creatives we have long sought to serve. Much has changed in society since we developed our brand in 2014. We plan to use this opportunity to ensure our messaging keeps pace with the changing needs of the creative community we hopes to reach in this next chapter.

Goodlight Creative — Illuminating the Path Ahead
Goodlight Creative, a creative strategy and design studio based in Greeley, has helped guide us through this process. With thoughtful questions and facilitated discussions, Goodlight Creative, Founder & Creative Strategist, Erica McCary and her associate Sarah Yepishin, have helped us affirm our core values so that we can begin telling a more cohesive story about who the organization is and what it hopes to achieve moving forward.
You may remember Erica McCary from her presentation at one of our networking sessions last summer. Likewise, you may have encountered her work in Downtown Greeley. She and her team helped develop the new “Discover the Draw” campaign and refreshed aesthetic for Downtown Greeley. We are truly grateful for Erica’s expertise and insider knowledge of Greeley in this process.
